Abstract

In today’s dynamic and knowledge-driven economy, organizations increasingly rely on employees’ ability to innovate and share knowledge to remain competitive. Particularly in the education sector, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation among staff is critical for institutional growth and development. Although several authors and scholars have extensively studied the direct relationship between innovative work behaviour and knowledge sharing behaviour, this study aims to explore how these two are interconnected through the mediating role of employee commitment. The investigation proposes that when employees are committed to one another, they are more likely to share knowledge, which in turn fosters innovation in their work and enhances organizational performance. This research will be conducted in Pakistan’s education sector, specifically in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) region. The study is expected to offer practical and managerial implications for schools, enabling administrators to promote innovative work behaviour among staff by encouraging knowledge sharing practices.
