Abstract

This study was carried out to examine the significant and scope of critical indicators that have potential to enhance DW role. In this regard, the role of career orientation (CO) and career initiatives (CI) are thoroughly analyzed to understand this nexus. Moreover, the mediation of CI in the connection of CO and DW and the contingent effect of social & family support (SFS) as a moderator in the relationship of CO and CI as well as CO and DW were analyzed.  Data has been collected from 273 transgender persons residing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa - Pakistan. The findings validated predictive positive association between CO and CI, showing that when the values of these variables increase, so does DW. Moreover, the SFS acts as a catalyst in the relationship of CO, CI, and DW that highlighted the relevance in shaping DW. The results of this study indicated that SFS, CO, and CI have pivotal role in fostering DW of the transgender persons. Furthermore, the SFS and CO among transgender persons determines how well work-life harmony and fair treatment at the workplace are maintained. Specifically, this study attempts to determine whether this framework contributes to the enhancement of acceptable working conditions through CO, SFS and CI for transgender persons.
