Exploring the Nexus between Green HRM Strategies and Organizational Sustainability: Analyzing the Mediating Role of Green Employee Behavior

The paper examines the available literature based on the theory of strategic decision and attribution model. This discussion highlights the importance of the concept of Green Human Resource Management (Green HRM) that promotes the development of environmentally conscious employee behaviors and sustainability in the organization. This research undertaking dwells on the effects of programs associated with organizational sustainability, including Green Compensation and reward, Green Performance management, Green Training and development, green recruitment, and selection. The research especially focuses on the mediating nature of the green employee behaviour in the determination of environmental and employee performance. The methodology used in data collection entailed the survey questionnaire technique to obtain the responses of 337 members of the textile industry sector in Pakistan using the non-probability purposive sampling technique and analysis of the data by modelling the SmartPLS 4.0. The outcomes of the study suggest that there are significant impacts of the Green Compensation and reward, Green Performance management, Green Training and development, and green recruitment and selection, which are facilitated by green employee behaviour, on Organizational Sustainability. The current research study managerial implications were applied in form of developed strategies aimed at boosting productivity and improving the performance of the organization in the textile industry.
