FROM STRESS TO STRENGTH: ORGANIZATIONAL STRATEGIES FOR WORK-LIFE BALANCE AND BURNOUT PREVENTION IN THE BANKING SECTOR

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the influence of organizational practices constructed for improving the work-life balance and to reduce burnout of employees in the banks of Khairpur city, Sindh. The data was taken from 120 employees working in 10 prominent banks, completed a standardized questionnaire, based on the evaluating work-life balance initiatives and techniques of burnout prevention. The findings concluded that stress management programs, compliant scheduling, and supportive supervisions of managers are fundamental sources which alleviate the prolonged job stress usually inherent in banking sectors. The results; multiple regression analysis showed that work-life balance methods and burnout prevention techniques collectively accounted for 64.7% of the variance in burnout (R2 = 0.647, F(2.115) = 80.24, p < 0.001), and methods of work-life balance are (work-life balance, β = 0.712, p < 0.001 & burnout prevention techniques, β = 0.546, p < .001)) significantly predicted on burnout, having enormous impact of work-life initiatives. This study contributed the existing literature of organizational strategies for work-life balance and prevention of burnout.
